KocoroWhere Your Data Is Stored and How to Get a Copy
Kocoro is local-first. Most of your data stays on your own device, so it is already in your hands. For the data we store in the cloud, you can request a copy from us.
Data on your device
- Conversations, uploaded files, and files Kocoro creates for you (such as PPT, PDF, and XLSX) are stored locally on your device.
- You can open, copy, or back up these files yourself at any time — no export step is needed.
Data in the cloud
- Account information: your email address, name, and sign-in credentials.
- Episodic Memory (only if you turn it on): selected conversation context used to remember your preferences across sessions.
- Session Share (only if you create a link): the conversations you choose to share.
- Other data associated with your account in Kocoro Cloud.
Request a copy of your cloud data
Email contact@kocoro.ai from your registered email address and tell us which data you would like a copy of. After verifying your identity, we will respond within a reasonable period.
Planning to delete your account? Save any data you need first — once your account is deleted, its cloud data can't be restored.
